With an increasing number of people working from home there is often a need to find space for an office whether it is in a spare bedrooms or garden shed, but in the case of Keith Stephenson and Mark Hampshire finding a new work space inadvertently provided them with a home.

When Mark joined Keith in the branding and design company Absolute Zero Degrees, they set out to look for new premises and came across a series of live/work units in development in south east London. “It was a privately funded project for 15 units and the terms of the lease stipulated that the buildings must be part work space and part living accommodation. There was no stamp duty to pay, which helped with the financing and although it isn’t in a premium area we find that in itself is an advantage because isn’t too leafy or domesticated so the offices have a business atmosphere rather than being overtly homely.” says Mark
